The content of this page was written by Phorpus, and edited by Wizardmon5. Bolded text is from Wizardmon5.
It all grew from a small idea MyRideIs Tex had a year or so ago, but used actual people acting out scenes instead of animation. His idea would later, apparently, be forgotten, but Phorpus took his idea and shifted it into his own creation, RvB TV. RvB TV is meant to be a satire of life on RvB.com by representing the site as a town, with all other sorts of websites neighboring it. At first, Phorpus animated everything and sent out all requests for voice actors on his own. Each episode is made one frame at a time in, mainly, MSPaint, but using Photoshop for basic effects. However, no slick programs or editing software are used, making creating this monster of a series a task to be feared.
The first episode was the most disorganized episode, chock-full of every joke Phorpus could think of while being excessively lazy with the animation. The premier episode was also the most crass, taking direct stabs at Gus. What the noticeable factor of the first episode would be, however, is the use of rotoscoping lightsaber sequences to create fight scenes. The first being 5atan Vs. Haxx0r, a reference to a brief period where the two were butting heads. But the animation of the scenes took tremendous amounts of work, something Phorpus remembers by the pain in his fingers. Specifically, due to the use of only MsPaint and Windows Movie Maker, he took a lightsaber fight scene and went 1/4th of a second at a time and taking a screenshot, over and over until the entire scene was duplicated in a massive number of small frames. Each frame was then added something, put back together in Movie Maker, made into a video file, put back into movie maker to be sped up, then used. A practice that Phorpus has tried, desperately, not to do.
The second episode, ergo, had far less rotoscoping (The only scene being 5atan smashing Blarghamuffin on the...muffin) and much more random scenes unrelated to the idea of the RvB members living in a town. The only noticeable slow point being Halogoddess1's scene, which was a mistake on Phorpus' editing for not sizing it down to a watchable length. But the main achievement being the introduction of the foul-mouthed Leus (At the recommendation of Wizardmon5. Phorpus was looking for new characters, and Wizardmon5, having worked with and against Leus in the past, thought of him. The description given, more or less word-for-word, was, "He's like me. But with no problem about swearing."). Episode 2 was fueled off of Phorpus' confidence after the generally well-accepted first episode, and, thus, stuck to the original formula.
The third episode was the least welcomed by fans, but contained some of the most plot-focused material in the series. For example, the final fight between 5atan and Donutzilla and the use of a linear storyline by following Matt as he walks through RvB.com. This episode veered from the style of the first two episodes by using this plot-format and not the "random scenes" style, and could have possibly been a cause for its lackluster comedy. But other great contributions were the introductions of the hair-obsessed Gavino and High-Voice Backwards Boy. By this point Phorpus had a set plan on how episodes were made, in an almost assembly-line fashion, losing the heart he put into Episode 1 and 2.
Episode four is currently in production. After a couple months of collecting lines, Wizardmon5 sent them to Phorpus to be turned into a show. Presumably by magic.
The episode will feature a few new plot developments, as well as somewhat returning to the random-humor genre, with individual scenes being written by Anomalous, Wizardmon5, and Amedeus, in addition to the formal script, which was written by Phorpus and slightly edited/added to by Wizardmon5.
